On a shelf or desk it reads clean and characterful, with a classic two-handled form that would make a striking display piece in a gentleman’s study, library, or games room.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Westminster Amateur Boxing Club was active in London through the 1970s and appeared in local papers for club dinner shows and inter-club bouts. Like many community boxing clubs of the period, it operated on the amateur circuit overseen by the Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) and awarded cups like this at its own events. Exterior plating is bright and attractive in normal display, though close inspection reveals scattered minor tarnish, surface wear, and small areas of plate thinning, including light rubs around the engraved lettering where patches of base metal are visible.  Surface shows a faint, even dulling in places—typical of older silver plate—visible mainly at certain angles and not distracting in normal display.  Handles are secure with no looseness, dents, or visible repairs. Foot shows light surface marks consistent with age and bears the stamped markings “EPNS ENGLAND” and “PLATE REGD,” all fully legible. Trophy stands evenly without wobble.
