For the sportsman … a handsome 4-ounce English hip flask dating to the 1960s, clad in warm tan pigskin with a curved chrome-plated metal body. Measuring approximately 4 inches in height, it features raised stitched seams along both sides and a detachable knurled screw cap. Its richly patinated leather give it a tactile appeal and make it an ideal gift, bar accessory, or display piece for a gentleman’s desk or side table.
English makers produced leather-covered pocket flasks throughout the mid-20th century for sporting use, travel, and discreet carry in a coat or jacket pocket. Pigskin was frequently chosen for its durability, close grain, and the attractive patina it develops with age and handling.
Dimensions: 3-7/8” x 3-5/8” x 2-1/2” x 3/4”
Weight: 5.2 oz.
Condition notes: Excellent vintage condition overall. Chrome-plated metal surfaces remain bright, showing only light surface wear consistent with age and use, with no visible cracks, chips, or dents. Pigskin leather wrap remains clean and secure throughout, with raised stitched seams intact and only slight gapping visible along top and bottom edges. Detachable knurled screw cap turns smoothly and secures firmly in place. Base stamped “MADE IN ENGLAND” and “4 oz.” Other items in photos not included.
