For the outdoorsman … a 1947 first edition of “Angling Conclusions” by W. F. R. Reynolds, published in London by Faber and Faber and illustrated by C. F. Tunnicliffe. A postwar British angling volume rooted in river craft and countryside observation, it combines reflective essays and practical recommendations with Tunnicliffe’s crisp line drawings, making it a fitting addition to the keen fisherman’s library.

Part memoir and part seasoned counsel, the book covers topics including river conditions, tackle, and technique, shaped by the author’s four decades of angling across the UK, Ireland, and the Continent.  Our copy remains in excellent vintage condition in its original dust jacket, protected by a clear sleeve and displaying only minor edge wear on the spine. A Henry Sotheran Ltd bookseller label appears inside the front cover, linking the volume to one of London’s oldest antiquarian firms, and a neatly written owner’s inscription dated 1947 adds a layer of personal history while the book itself remains tight, clean and well preserved throughout.

Size: 8-1/4” x 5-3/8” x 3/4”
Weight: 10.6 oz.

Condition notes: Excellent vintage condition overall. Original dust jacket remains intact and is protected in a clear sleeve, showing only minor shelf wear at the top and bottom of the spine. Bound in cloth boards that are clean and well preserved. Neatly handwritten owner’s inscription dated 1947 appears on the front endpaper, along with Henry Sotheran Ltd bookseller label (2–5 Sackville Street, London W1) affixed inside the front cover. Pages are clean and evenly toned, free of foxing or markings beyond inscription. Binding is tight and square with no looseness or separation. A well-kept and complete first edition example. Other objects shown not included.
