For the cigar lover … a stunning English silver plate three-finger cigar case dating to around 1895–1915. Measuring 5 inches long, the case features foliate engraving to the front panel, a blank central cartouche, a gilt-washed interior, and three individually formed cigar channels with an original elastic retaining strap. As a superb example of late Victorian/Edwardian tobacciana, it would make a distinctive gift for the cigar enthusiast and a striking display piece on a gentleman’s desk or side table.
At the turn of the 20th century, cigars were generally slimmer and shorter than today. The interior channels in our case measure approximately 4-15/16 inches long by 3/4 inches wide and are best suited to smaller cigars such as panetelas, petits coronas, and other more compact styles.

Condition notes: Excellent antique condition overall with only very light surface wear consistent with age and gentle use. Exterior engraving remains clear and sharp throughout, with minor oxidation and darkening visible on close inspection within recessed grooves between the exterior cigar channels. One side of the case shows light surface wear and a small patch of plate loss adjacent to the latch from handling and use. Hinged lid opens and closes easily, and latch closes firmly and securely when shut. Interior remains clean overall and is marked “EPNS” at top edge. Elastic retaining strap remains securely attached, showing some fraying at one end consistent with age. Other items in photos not included.
