Classic English Boxwood No. 11 Folding Ruler

A classic English boxwood folding No. 11-type ruler, likely from the early 1900s, with brass hinges and ends.  There is no makers mark present, though Rabone was the preeminent UK manufacturer of the day of this type of ruler and used a very similar lettering style. Unfolded, the ruler is 24 inches in length, one side marked in 1/8” increments, the other side in 1/16”.  This is a remarkably good example of its type with a beautiful shine and patina reflecting years of use.  A well-loved instrument, beautifully constructed, and an ideal gift for a craftsman or teacher.

Condition Notes: Minor marks, abrasions, and staining.  A very slight warp when laid flat, as is common with this type of ruler.  Overall in very good vintage condition.
