For the entertainer … a pair of delicate Edwardian tumblers (c. 1900-1910), standing 3-7/8" high, etched with wave-like designs and a classic Greek key pattern. These elegant antique glasses capture the essence of the Edwardian era, lending a sophisticated touch to a gentleman’s home bar or cocktail tray. Holding 5 fluid ounces, their slender profile and intricate etching make them ideal for aperitifs or liqueurs, and an inspired gift for the man who appreciates classic style.
The Greek key design (also called a meander or meandros) is one of the most enduring and versatile motifs in decorative arts. In the Edwardian era, it served as a nod to ancient elegance at a time when neo-classical revival was very much in vogue. The motif was used in glassware, silver, and even architecture to evoke a sense of cultured taste and historical continuity.
Size: 3-7/8” high x 2-3/16” (top) x 1-5/8” (base)
