English Barrel-style Wood Corkscrew | Victorian Wine Collectible

For the wine drinker … a charming English barrel-style corkscrew, possibly Victorian.  A wonderful example of its type, practical as well as attractive, beautiful to hold with a lovely patina to the varnished wood.  Perfectly usable but would also display wonderfully in a study or on a home bar.

Wood handle is 3-5/8” long.  Worm measures 4-5/8” from the base and has a 4-turn screw with a sharp end.  Tested by Mr. Parr (a ready volunteer when it comes to wine) who reports that the corkscrew works very smoothly and feels structurally sound with no discernible wobble.  Some tarnish to the screw due to age and some very minor wear to the barrel but otherwise in excellent antique condition.

Why waste good wine on cheap plastic corkscrews?  A perfect gift for dad, husband, or boyfriend.   This will quickly become someone’s favorite wine opener.
