Large English Silver-Plated Wine Coaster | 5-3/4" Vintage Coaster with Hardwood Center, c. 1955-1965

For the wine-lover …  a vintage English silver-plated wine coaster dating to around 1955–1965, featuring a bright silver-plated gallery, turned hardwood center with concentric ring detail, and original baize-lined base.  At a generous 5-3/4" in diameter, it’s sized to accommodate most wine bottles, including larger formats like burgundy or champagne, and even magnums.  The coaster’s clean lines, practical scale, and understated appeal make it equally suited to traditional or contemporary interiors.

Condition Notes: Very good vintage condition overall, with a bright silver-plated finish and strong presentation throughout. Both the interior and exterior show scattered, age-consistent surface wear to the plating, including a faint vertical line to one exterior section (see photos), all of which is relatively minor in person and largely noticeable only on close inspection. Turned hardwood center remains smooth, stable, and evenly toned, with well-defined concentric ring detail and no cracks, lifting, or structural concerns noted. Original baize-lined base remains intact and securely affixed, showing only light wear consistent with age and gentle use. Other items in photos not included.
