For the traditionalist … a classic pair of vintage Royal Brierley cut crystal whiskey tumblers, dating to the 1960s-1970s. Each old-fashioned glass features deep cross-cut diamonds that climb into small radiating fans, and a sharply-defined star-cut base. At 3 inches tall and weighing a substantial 7.7 ounces, these are compact, purposeful glasses and would make a distinctive addition to a gentleman’s bar cart or drinks cabinet.
Established in 1776, Royal Brierley is England’s oldest and most celebrated crystal brand. The company was formerly known as Stevens and Williams, but changed to Royal Brierley in the 1930s to honor its appointment as Royal British Glassmakers. As a Royal Warrant holder, the company has supplied fine crystal to every British monarch since 1919.
Dimensions: 3” x 2-3/4” (opening) x 2-3/8” (base)

Condition notes: Excellent vintage condition overall. Each glass is free of chips, cracks, or nicks, with surfaces remaining clear and bright. Deep cross-cut diamond and fan motifs are crisp and well defined, and rims are smooth and even to the touch. Star-cut bases show light surface wear consistent with gentle use. Each glass is marked “Brierley” on the underside; some examples show more rubbing than others. Hand-wash recommended. Other objects in photos not included.
