For the entertainer … and just in time for the holiday table (or bar cart), a charming trio of English silver plate spoons, consisting of a Walker & Hall A1 sugar sifter from 1919, a William Page salt spoon, and a William Page mustard spoon. The two William Page spoons appear to date from the early 1900s.
Walker & Hall were renowned Sheffield-based silversmiths originating in the mid-1800s. By 1894, such was the firm’s success they employed more than 1,500 workers. William Page & Co. was active as a manufacturer of cutlery in Birmingham from 1829, and in 1938 was a supplier to the British Government.
All three spoons are in excellent condition, with a wonderful shine and only minimal wear in evidence. They would add a note of glamor and sophistication to any table setting or cocktail tray.
