Vintage Cut Crystal Whiskey Glasses (Set of 3) | British Flat Tumblers c. 1950-1970

For the entertainer … an attractive set of three English cut crystal whisky glasses dating to the 1950s or 1960s.  Each glass stands 3-3/4 inches tall and holds 5 fluid ounces.  They feature a classic star-cut base and a crisp design above, with rows of vertical and diagonal cross-cuts that catch the light beautifully.  Ideally sized for a pour of single malt, they would make a practical and handsome addition to a gentleman’s drinks tray or home bar.

Often described in catalogs as flat tumblers, this slightly taller and narrower whisky glass was a popular form in British cut crystal barware during the mid-20th century.  The glass sits comfortably in the hand, and the straight-sided profile allows the cut pattern to rise higher on the bowl, producing a crisp band of light when the glass is lifted or set on the table.

Condition notes: Excellent vintage condition overall. All three glasses are free of chips, cracks, or nicks, with surfaces remaining clear and bright. Cut decoration remains crisp and well defined, including star-cut base and rows of cross-cut diamonds above. Rims are straight and smooth to the touch. One glass shows a tiny surface scratch just below the rim along with faint wavy lines in the glass, likely from the original manufacturing process; both are visible only on close inspection. No maker’s marks present. Glasses have been gently cleaned and are ready for use or display. Recommended for hand-wash only.
