Vintage English Leather Cigar Case c. 1915–1935 | Slim Three-Cigar Interwar Tobacciana

For the classicist … a handsome vintage English leather cigar case, dating to around 1915–1935. The case is formed with three narrow stitched channels and an open telescoping sleeve, without snaps or hardware. Its tanned leather shows a deep, even brown tone with light, honest wear, and remains supple and intact throughout.  Designed to fit seamlessly into a gentleman’s inside pocket, it would make a thoughtful gift for the cigar smoker, or anyone with a taste for restrained, early 20th century design.

Before the Second World War, popular cigars like Panatelas and Cigarillos were generally narrower than those smoked today, and cases were designed accordingly. The proportions here — slim channels, restrained profile, and simple construction — reflect that period, before post-war standardization and bulkier designs. Details such as hand-guided stitching and the absence of elastic or metal fittings place our case firmly in the interwar years.

Condition notes: Excellent vintage condition overall with very light wear consistent with age and careful use. Vegetable-tanned leather remains supple and evenly toned, with a deep brown patina throughout and no discernible cracks or tears. One small area of dulling to the leather on one side of the lower sleeve and one tiny pinpoint mark on one side of the upper sleeve, both subtle and visible only on close inspection. All stitching intact with no fraying, looseness, or repairs noted. Case slides open and closed smoothly and aligns properly when closed. Interior channels measure approximately 3/4” x 1/2” at the opening and are sized for slim-format cigars such as panatelas or cigarillos. Case has been gently cleaned and polished.  Other items in photos not included.
